I know the kind of look I’d like for my wedding but I just don’t know where to start in achieving it. Can you help?I’d love to help! Using my creative streak is one of the best parts of my job. A lot of couples can’t understand how an idea they have will work in practice: I’m skilled at finding practical solutions to bring their dreams to life.
I’ve worked with a whole range of suppliers so I can recommend those that would help create the look you’re after. Alongside the look and design of your wedding, you also need to consider practicalities. Sometimes the most amazing idea just won’t work because of restrictions at the venue or other practical matters. But rather than dismiss the idea, I’ll work with you to find a solution that retains your vision of how you want your wedding to look while ticking all the practical and logistical boxes too. I’m too busy with work to really focus on my wedding plans. The thought of everything I’ve got to organise is overwhelming!Don’t worry, that’s precisely why I’m here! I’ve helped hundreds of couples with everything from creative styling ideas to seating plan dilemmas. I’m highly organised and efficient, and will work with you to make sure I understand exactly what you want.
Over the years, I’ve worked with a huge range of suppliers – from florists to marquee providers, photographers to catering companies - so I can save you time and money in your wedding planning. I know the order in which to book suppliers, and I also understand what their needs will be on the day of your wedding, ensuring nothing is overlooked and everything runs smoothly. I'd like to hold my wedding reception in a marquee in my garden. Is this something you would organise?Yes, certainly! I’ve planned many parties and weddings in clients’ gardens, and it’s really becoming a popular thing to do because the familiar setting can help you feel more relaxed.
I would start off by looking at my supplier list to find the ones that would best work with the space you have, and then we can get creative with the blank canvas and design the look you’re envisaging. Practical and logistical considerations are the key to a successful and stress-free marquee wedding, particularly if it’s at your home. After all, you and your family want to enjoy yourselves, without opening the door to suppliers, answering constant questions about where the toilets or car parking are, or trying to stop people from wandering around your house! It’s the things like these that can be easily overlooked, and end up being sorted out by the parents, ushers or bridesmaids when they really should be enjoying the day with you. So it’s vital that I’m there to oversee everything and make the wedding as carefree as possible for everyone. What sets you apart from other wedding planners or event organisers?Since 2003, I’ve been looking after weddings and events, from small dinners to large elaborate weddings. I have experience of creating a range of event styles to suit all budgets.
I’ve established some great contacts with Yorkshire’s best venues, florists, caterers, bridal boutiques, photographers and other wedding service providers. I’ll recommend or source suppliers that will fit perfectly with your budget and style of event. I’m friendly and creative, and am accessible by phone or email throughout the whole planning process. I offer a bespoke service that’s very personal to each client’s vision of their perfect event.

My fiancée and I have looked round loads of venues and still not found one that feels right for our wedding. I don’t know what to do!I have an extensive list of venues I’ve worked with, ranging from outdoor spaces to stately homes. Some of them don’t even advertise their services, so you’re unlikely to find them if you’re looking on your own. I’ll get to know you and your partner, and listen carefully to what kind of venue you’re envisaging. I usually know straight away where would be the perfect place for you!
My fiancée and I can’t agree on how we want our wedding to look. Can you help?Couples can often have opposing ideas about what they want, so I can add an experienced and practical yet creative voice to any disagreement. Together we can work out a solution that makes everyone happy.
Equally, I know some brides find it important to accommodate the wishes of members of their family. Sometimes, for example, mothers of the bride wish to play a part in their daughter’s big day. I’m happy to work with any members of your family, and even to be the mediator when required! I also advise on wedding etiquette, such as top table arrangements, to help keep everyone happy. I’d like to enjoy my wedding without worrying about all the little things that need sorting out.About a month before your wedding day, I will create a very detailed timeline of events, giving you the chance to see how your ideas have come together, as well as peace of mind that your special day will flow seamlessly.
I always attend the venue on the day before the event to set everything up and ensure that everything is planned to perfection. In the run-up to the wedding, and on the day itself, I’ll look after all your suppliers’ logistical and practical needs, such as access to the venue, set-up times and power supplies, to make sure everything runs smoothly. This means that, on the wedding day itself, my job is just to be there for whoever needs me. I’m definitely the ‘go to’ person on the day, providing help and reassurance not just for you but for your family, the suppliers and the guests – in fact, anyone who needs anything! And after the wedding, I make sure everything is tidied up and sorted out so you don’t have that extra worry. Who is your typical bride? My typical bride is a busy woman who has little time on her hands and loves the fact that she has a wedding planner. I can save her time and money by using my extensive supplier list to find her perfect venue, florist, caterer, musician, photographer etc. I’ve worked with all types of budget, and love getting creative to bring a couple’s dreams to life, whatever their budget.

"A massive thank you for everything you did for Giles and I to make our wedding day so perfect. It totally blew us away-we had such a fantastic day and it was brilliant to know you were there to manage everything so smoothly. We really were able to relax and enjoy it. Everybody loved the venue and the gardens were so perfect for our photos- particularly when the sun came out so unexpectedly! We really couldn’t have asked for anything more! Looking forward to seeing you soon.” Fiona and Giles
